Terms of use

This copy is a draft scaffold. The canonical terms are being prepared with our legal team and will replace this text before production launch.

About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Octopus Legacy employer-hub service. By accessing or using the service you agree to be bound by them.

The service

The service provides information and routes to estate planning, bereavement, and probate support offered to you as an employee benefit by your employer. Specific services (consultations, will-writing, LPA preparation) are delivered by Octopus Legacy or its partner professional service providers under separate engagement terms.

Your account

Your Legacy ID and last name are issued by your employer. Keep them confidential. You’re responsible for activity performed from your session.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service — no unauthorised access, no attempts to disrupt operation, no using the service for anything unlawful. We may suspend access if these terms are breached.

Content

Content on the service (copy, design, code) is owned by or licensed to Octopus Legacy. You’re granted a limited, revocable licence to access the service for its intended purpose.

Disclaimers + liability

The service is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and limit our liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
